Description:
Desifer 400 mg is an iron-chelating agent containing Deferasirox, used for the treatment of chronic iron overload due to frequent blood transfusions (transfusional hemosiderosis), such as in patients with thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, or other chronic anemias. The medication works by binding to excess iron in the blood and aiding its removal from the body, primarily through feces.
