Humog

Humog 150 is a fertility medication that contains human menopausal gonadotropin (HMG), which provides two key hormones: follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). It is used to treat infertility in both women and men. In women, Humog 150 helps stimulate the ovaries to produce and mature multiple eggs, making it especially useful in assisted reproductive treatments like IVF (in vitro fertilization) or IUI (intrauterine insemination). In men, it is used in combination with hCG to promote sperm production when infertility is due to low hormone levels.

Humog 150 is given by injection, either under the skin or into a muscle, as prescribed by a fertility specialist. The dosage and treatment duration vary depending on the individual’s condition and response. Close medical monitoring with ultrasound scans and blood tests is required during treatment to avoid complications such as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).

Common side effects may include abdominal discomfort, headache, mood changes, and local injection site reactions. In rare cases, OHSS can cause serious symptoms like severe abdominal pain and fluid retention.
